Writing as a form of meditation
One of the things I used to do, back in the good old days of Xanga, was write.
It’s something, that in my older adulthood, have forgotten to do. It has been replaced by the quick email, the email that could have been a meeting, the quick DM, the tweet.
I had forgotten that is important to slow down, to sit, relax, and take the time to thoughtfully prepare words that isn’t for business, isn’t for others, but rather, it’s for me.
It’s the act of concentration and writing that helps gather my thoughts and in a weird sort of way, defrag the brain. I need to do this exercise more often.
